Tillamook Blimp Hanger

Frank Construction Company was awarded the contract for the historic Tillamook Blimp Hanger restoration. The project consists of fixing the wooden box beams on the ceiling of the 192' hanger. The Tillamook Blimp hanger was originally built in 1942 to serve as a Naval Air Station for anti-submarine costal patrol in Oregon and Washington costal areas. The Naval Air station was decommission in 1948 and currently is a air museum. The Tillamook Blimp Hanger is the largest wooden structure in the world.
